Step 1: Gather Supplies

To start the process, grab a few supplies. You will need paper towels, white vinegar, and a damp cloth.

Step 2: Soak the Stain with White Vinegar

Using a paper towel, start soaking up as much of the adhesive as you can. Be careful not to scrub too hard so you don’t damage the fabric. Once you’ve removed as much as possible, pour some white vinegar directly onto the area and let it sit for about 30 minutes.

Step 3: Rub Off Residue with a Damp Cloth

After the area has had time to soak, take a damp cloth and gently rub at the area making sure to blot as opposed to wipe away. This should help to lift the remaining stain off fabric.

Step 4: Rinse with Cold Water

Once stain has been lifted off, rinse the fabric with cold water then leave it to air dry.

Conclusion

By following these steps it is possible to successfully clean adhesive tape stains from chinos. If the stain is particularly stubborn, try repeating the process until the stain is gone.
