You Will Need:

  • Spoon or dull knife
  • Cotton swabs
  • Gloves
  • Soap
  • Cleaning solvent
  • Clean cloth

Step One: Scrape Away the Adhesive Tape

Gently remove any remaining adhesive residue from the stained area of the Chantilly lace using a spoon or dull knife. After scraping, gently rub the area to remove any remaining residue.

Step Two: Apply Cleaning Solvent to the Stain

Put on a pair of gloves and dampen a cotton swab with a cleaning solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Dab the affected area with cotton swab, being careful not to rub and spread the stain. Do not pour the solvent directly onto the fabric.

Step Three: Wash the Stain

Create a soapy solution using a mild detergent and warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the soapy solution and dab the stained area with it. This will help to break down the adhesive residue further and lift stain.

Step Four: Rinse the Fabric

Rinse fabric with clean, cold water to remove any residual soap. Gently squeeze the fabric until all the water has been removed, then lay it flat to dry completely.

Conclusion

With the right supplies and careful instructions, adhesive tape stains on Chantilly lace can be effortlessly removed. By scraping away the adhesive tape, applying a cleaning solvent, washing the stain, and then rinsing the fabric, you can have your favorite lace looking like new again.
