Removing Adhesive Tape Stains from a Button-Down Shirt
- Use a spoon to scrape any excess adhesive tape residue off the fabric.
- Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to the area and gently rub stain in circular motions until it lifts.
- If adhesive tape stain remains, mix a solution of one part liquid laundry detergent and four parts warm water. Soak the area with a cloth and let the mixture sit for up to an hour.
- Rinse away the solution with cold water and scrub the area with a stiff brush. If stain has lightened, repeat the process.
- If the stain still won’t budge, try applying a dab of hydrogen peroxide to the spot and letting it set for 10 minutes. Rinse the area with warm water and scrub area with a brush.
- When the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water and dab the area with a cloth to dry.
