To start, you’ll need to select correct cleaning agent to use. It’s best to avoid using any harsh chemicals on your suit and instead opt for a natural alternative. Using olive oil or white vinegar, dampen a soft cloth with the solution of your choice. Gently dab area affected by the adhesive to loosen the tape.

Once the adhesive has been loosened, gently scrape tape off with a soft cloth. You may need to repeat this step several times to completely remove the tape. Avoid using any sharp objects that could cause damage to the fabric.

After the tape has been removed, wash the suit with cold water and a mild detergent. Allow the garment to air dry before wearing it. This will prevent further damage and help keep the fabric looking fresh.

If the adhesive is still present or the fabric has been stained, you can also try using a vacuum cleaner. Vacuuming has been known to work quite well in removing stubborn debris. Just make sure that the suction isn’t too strong or it could cause damage to the fabric.

Cleaning adhesive tape stains from a business suit doesn’t have to be a complicated task. By following the steps outlined above, you'll have your suit looking good as new in no time!
