It’s not the end of the world if you happen to come into contact with adhesive tape while wearing your bra. While stain may seem impossible to remove, there are a few tips and tricks you can use to help get your bra back to its original glory. Here are some of the best tips for tackling adhesive tape stains.

Preparing Your Bra

The key to effective cleaning is proper preparation. Gather supplies you’ll need for the job: a soft cloth, a bucket, a mild detergent, and warm water. If your bra is especially delicate, you can also use a mild baby shampoo instead of detergent.

Immerse the bra into the bucket filled with warm water and detergent. Allow it to soak for at least 15 minutes, stirring it occasionally. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to clean.

Clean the Stain

Use the cloth to gently scrub adhesive residue. Aim to rub area in circular motions and work your way towards the center of the stain. Repeat the process until the entire area is clean. Rinse the bra in clean water and blot dry with a soft towel.

Dry and Launder

To finalize the cleaning process, lay the bra flat on a towel and let it air dry. Once it has fully dried, launder the bra as normal. Be sure to check the label on the garment before laundering. For bras made from delicate fabrics like silk or lace, hand washing is recommended.

Conclusion

Accidentally getting adhesive tape stuck on your bra isn’t a pleasant experience, but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world. Following the steps above, you can get your bra looking as good as new in no time!
