The first step to removing adhesive tape stains from a blouse is to choose an appropriate solvent. Common solvents that can be used include denatured alcohol, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, and acetone. If you are unsure which solvent to use, it is always best to test a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric first to make sure it does not cause any damage.
To apply the solvent, saturate a cotton swab with the chosen solvent and dab the stained area with the swab. Be sure to only apply the solvent to the stain itself; do not allow it to spread to other parts of the fabric.
Once the solvent has been applied to the stain, gently blot the stain with a clean cloth to remove as much of the adhesive as possible. Be careful not to rub the fabric too hard or vigorously, as this could cause damage to the fabric.
If the stain is still visible after the initial application of solvent, apply the solvent again and blot with the clean cloth. Repeat this process until stain is fully removed. Afterwards, wet a clean cloth with water and dab the stained area to remove any remaining solvent residue.
