Whether you are prepping for a photoshoot, or just having fun at the beach, adhesive tape stains on your bikini can be a real spoilsport. These stubborn stains are notoriously difficult to remove, yet require special care to ensure that they don't damage the fabric.
Fear not! The below steps will help you clean those adhesive tape stains from your bikini with ease, and without having to invest in expensive laundry detergents.
Instructions
- Soak the stained area of bikini in warm water for 15 minutes.
- Prepare a mixture of 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in one quart of warm water.
- Dip a soft cloth in this solution and gently rub in a circular motion over the stained area. Make sure you use soft cloth so as not to damage the fabric.
- Rinse the stained area with cold water.
- Repeat the first three steps if necessary.
- Pat the area dry with a soft towel.
If the adhesive tape stain still shows, apply a small amount of liquid fabric softener to the stained area and rub it in with a clean cloth. Let the fabric softener stay on the stain for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse with cold water.
Once you have removed the stain, let the bikini air dry for an hour or two, so that the fabric doesn't shrink or deform.
