Begin by collect all necessary supplies: a bowl of warm water, mild detergent or dish soap, a soft-bristled brush or toothbrush, a towel, and a clean cloth. Make sure the water is only slightly warm—hot water can cause shrinkage or discoloration.

Once you have gathered all of your materials, start by dampening the affected area with warm water. After that, gently dab the detergent on the area and use the brush or toothbrush to scrub away the adhesive residue in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water. Then, pat the dampened area dry with a towel. Finally, lay the Battenberg lace flat on a clean cloth and let it air-dry.

If the adhesive tape stain is still present after following the steps above, you may need to resort to using an adhesive remover. Apply a small amount of the remover on affected area and wait for a few minutes before brushing it away. Be sure to read instructions on adhesive remover product carefully before use.

Now you know how to remove adhesive tape stains from Battenberg lace! With a few simple steps, you can keep your fabric looking as good as new.
