Instructions
- Create a mixture of one part dish soap and two parts warm water in a bowl or sink.
- Dip the dirty barrette clip into soapy water and let it soak for at least 10 minutes.
- After soaking, use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub off the remaining adhesive tape residue.
- Rinse off the barrette clip with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
- Repeat the process as needed until all the adhesive tape residue has been removed.
Additional Tips
- If the adhesive tape residue is particularly stubborn, you can increase ratio of dish soap to water to create a stronger solution that may help to break down the residue more quickly.
- Be careful not to scrub too vigorously, as this could cause damage to the barrette clip's finish.
- For tougher residues, you may need to use a solvent such as rubbing alcohol or acetone.
- To prevent the need to clean adhesive tape stains from occurring in future, you can use an alternative method of attaching barrette clips such as sewing or gluing.
