Things You’ll Need

  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Toothbrush
  • Paper towel

Instructions

  1. Soak a paper towel in a mixture of dish soap and water and lay it over the affected area until it is saturated.
  2. Cover that with a damp cloth and apply pressure so the mixture can penetrate the stain. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Brush the stained area with toothbrush that has been soaked in a mixture of half white vinegar, half water.
  4. Rinse the area with warm water and pat it dry with paper towels.

Tips

  • Don't try to rub out the stain with anything.
  • Apply cleaner in small circles to minimize the chances of dye transfer.
  • Dry cleaners may offer professional help with tough adhesive stains like this.
