Start by testing a small, inconspicuous spot on the garment before you try to remove the adhesive tape stain. Do this to make sure the fabric can withstand the cleaning process.
Next, scrape off the excess adhesive carefully with a dull knife or the back of a spoon. The idea is to remove as much of the excess adhesive as possible without damaging the fabric. Scrape gently and do not rub the fabric.
Once majority of the adhesive tape residue is off, dampen a soft sponge or cloth with water. Blot and dab (don't rub) the stain with the dampened sponge or cloth. Again, blot instead of rub so you don’t damage the fabric.
If the surface residue isn’t gone, you may try to apply a few drops of nail polish remover. Be sure to test the area with nail polish remover solution first on a small spot before you treat the entire garment. Gently blot and pat adhesive tape stain with the nail polish remover-dampened cloth.
Once the adhesive tape stain has been treated, launder the garment according to the tag instructions. If the stain still remains, repeat these steps until it has been removed.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
